Volunteers Make the Difference at Fairchild Medical Center
Fairchild Medical Center is extremely fortunate to have many talented community members who volunteer their services in a variety of ways.
Volunteer services at Fairchild Medical Center have traditionally been recognized for their cumulative hours of service, fund-raising activities, gift shop and a willingness to go the extra mile. As operating margins continue to shrink, health care institutions increasingly turn to guilds, auxiliaries and foundations for the resources necessary for continued growth. In 2006 the members of Fairchild Medical Center Auxiliary accumulated 12,900 hours of volunteer service, giving the Auxiliary a lifetime total of 160,560 hours of volunteer time. In addition to the Auxiliary, the Yreka Guild and Scott Valley Guild have contributed countless hours of service over the years to Fairchild Medical Center.

Fairchild Medical Center is pleased and proud to state that over the years, four volunteers have been selected to serve on the governing body of The California Association of Hospitals & Health Systems (CAHHS). CAHHS is a nonprofit corporation of approximately 400 member hospitals and clinics throughout the State of California. Marcia Churchill served as the Regional Advisor for 1978 & 1979. Ann Kaster served as the Regional Advisor for 1984, Chair Designate for 1985 and Chair for 1986. Jennie Dilley served as Regional Advisor for 1993 & 1994. Deanne Terry served as Regional Advisor for 2003 & 2004, Chair Designate for 2005, Chair for 2006 and was recently re-elected as Chair for 2007.
